If you've always thought that the only thing missing from the Volkswagen lineup of vehicles is a pickup truck, Volkswagen read your mind and unveiled the Atlas Tanoak Pickup Concept at this year's 2018 New York International Auto Show! The Tanoak is a dual-cab short-bed pickup, designed to provide drivers with the utmost cross between comfort and versatility. With the same name as the most recent addition to the VW fleet, the Atlas SUV, it's suggested that Atlas could turn into a model family, offering a range of options to drivers all over the country.

The Atlas Tanoak Pickup Concept is powered by a V6 FSI gas engine that produces 276-horsepower and comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system to provide you with a comfortable yet strong driving performance and ability on and off the road. Inside the cabin, the Atlas Tanoak Pickup Concept sports spacious seating for five, with sporty front seats to hold you in place if your adventures go off the beaten path. Technology is a main focus as well, including a conveniently placed touchscreen infotainment system, Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, LED head and tail lights, and much more.

While there are no clear plans to put the Atlas Tanoak Pickup Concept into production, it's a look into what could potentially be in the works in the near future if it's received well enough. Tell us what you think about it! Would you like to drive around Grand Rapids inside a vehicle like the Atlas Tanoak Pickup Concept? We know we would!
